For centuries (since the 18th century) DEATH has NOT been dealt with appropriately. For YEARS, my books – especially World Population with its spiritual examination of DEATH and its beautiful poems – have been disregarded or ignored. The result is overpopulation or, on a dying planet, life expectancy will fall radically. The alternative to contempt for the elderly/care of the elderly is acceptance of DEATH – MOURNING BEFORE DEATH.
In Germany, we have been campaigning against nuclear energy for decades, in other countries we have done TOO LITTLE, even though China is radically catching up and making progress. Without fourth-generation nuclear power plants, there will be no safe, environmentally friendly and affordable electricity supply. The high-temperature reactor will be used for seawater desalination and the production of hydrogen, while the sodium-cooled reactor will be used to generate electricity.
Solution to nuclear waste problem: a) improve reprocessing; b) molten salt reactor; c) final disposal.
